Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In the Sagardighi flower area of Murshidabad district, a significant problem plagues the roads and railways. Water accumulation occurs near the railway tracks, and there is a lack of adequate drainage systems. This presents a serious concern as it increases the risk of train accidents at any given time and makes local travel in the area challenging.
What's even more perilous is the presence of sections of the railway line that have collapsed. Despite these hazards, local residents have been navigating through knee-deep water and using the unstable railway tracks for an extended period, jeopardizing their lives.
Furthermore, a substantial number of cargo trains run between Sagardighi and the Sagardighi thermal center. However, it appears that railway authorities are neglecting safety issues. Trains continue to operate without proper safety measures, similar to how people are risking their lives for travel, primarily due to the limited number of passengers. This situation urgently necessitates attention and improvements to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
